The Methodist and United Reformed Churches in Shaftesbury became Bell Street a United Church in 2001 and progress has been smooth and effective.
Sunday Morning All-Age Worship combines URC and Methodist traditions .The evening worship tends to be quiet and traditional.A Worship Group plans and leads worship when scheduled or in emergencies..
In 2007 alterations to the entrance and interior of the church were completed to coincide with the centenary of the building. Computer projection equipment was installed to bring a new dimention to worship.
Attached to the church are two halls and two smaller rooms which are used by a variety of groups and organisations
