Motcombe is a friendly village to the north of the circuit situated between Shaftesbury & Gillingham. There are two pubs, a thriving village post office/shop and an Anglican church as well as the Methodist church. Population approaching 1500 of all ages supporting the village C of E Primary School. The village is surrounded by the beautiful Blackmore Vale countryside where a variety of farms can still be found.

Motcombe Church nearly closed in 1977 but today continues as a revived fellowship which is very welcoming and embraces Christians from many backgrounds.

The Friday Coffee Mornings are a time of very warm informal fellowship for the whole village and can be a good introduction to Motcombe for newcomers.A by-product of this weekly event is the money raised is given to charity.

Sunday worship is fairly traditional but varied and always aims to be uplifting. Pastoral care and support for various mission projects are important features of church life as are the Bible Study and prayer.
